Week 4- The Shoes
Like I said last week, this week I've turned my attention to shoes rather t-shirts. I haven't had so much luck with shoes. I had a total of 34 t-shirts and counting, but just have 2 pairs of shoes that don't fit. I know shoes are needed differently than t-shirts, but are still very important to people and families who don't have them. Without shoes, feet will get damaged with cuts and bruises and probably get infected. In order to get more shoes to donate, I will most likely need to get the help of people. Usually, shoes I receive are from my brothers. I've checked with my brothers for any shoes that don't fit but couldn't find any. I'm thinking about asking around my neighborhood for shoes. This week may seem like the same old but I've actually succeeded In something. My family are long time friends with another family that had always been in financial problems. I am long time friends with the oldest son of the family. We enjoyed playing soccer with each other. He joined a soccer league and rules for the league are that you are required to wear cleats. He didn't have any so I gave him my old cleats. I could have still used those cleats but I knew that someone needed them more than me and I felt good for doing a good deed. I ask everyone out there to do random good deeds with nothing in return just that the person you did the good deed for do the same to another complete stranger. I choose to donate clothing for two reasons: change people's lives and show others how easy it is to change people's lives.
