Week 11

This week I've been thinking of buying new shorts and giving away old ones to people who don't have shorts. Here in California, the weather has been scorching! This entire week, we've been having an average of temperature higher than 95 degrees! Who wouldn't wear shorts in this kind of weather? I have previously bought 3 pairs of shorts from Ross and am planning to give away mostly all of the pairs that I have. I'll give away my basketball shorts, my soccer shorts and my swim trunks to people who don't have shorts and only wear jeans and sweatpants. Poor souls, I wouldn't want my worst enemy to endure this kind of heat in jeans or sweatpants. Right now, estimating, I believe I have at least 10 pairs of shorts I haven't worn in at least a year. I'm not donating shorts to feel good about myself but because I had an opportunity to donate them. I think I'll donate them to my friend who lives a block away from me. Poor kid, he brings jeans and sweaters on days of intense heats. I think he'll use these shorts because I predict this summer will be hotter than previous summers. We've been also having heat advisories in California warning people to drink water and not to stay In the heat to long.

Week 10

This week in exchange of checking my closet for shirts and pants, this week I'm checking for shoes. In a previous blog, i was also donating shoes, but all of my shoes were fitting me at the time, but what can i say my foot grew. Like I've said before, I personally think when buying shoes, you shouldn't get a shoe that fits you very well. I personally always get shoes that are a full size or half a size bigger than my feet so that those shoes will last me. I've been growing lately and I've been leaving size 7 and 8 sized shoes and been purchasing size 9 and 10 sized shoes. I been leaving pairs of shoes behind that are in great condition. My parents would always get mad at me because i would always be so cautious about my shoes; never wearing because i would think i would get them dirty. Before i knew it, i had only put on my new shoes 5 times and i had outgrown them. Right know there at home in my downstairs closet. If i recall, there are some Nike's Trail Blazers size 8, a pair of dark black Vans size 8, some Nike's 6.0 size 8 and a pair of white soccer cleats. There all in good condition and I'd hate for them to go to waste rotting in my closet. I'll clean them up and they'll be like new again and probably donate them to somebody who needs them.
